    Hi,

Is there any possible solution to have your plugin on a multilingual website using Polylang or other plugins (Free or Paid)?

I want to have the Tutor LMS dashboard language change as the language of the website change. I have tried with Polylang but I receive the 404 error for the second language on the dashboard page of your plugin!

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • Hello @erfanit,

Tutor LMS is translatable into many languages. Many of our users have successfully translated the entire plugin into their own local languages.

The source language file is located in the plugin’s LANGUAGES FOLDER which contains about 1021 text strings- ready to be translated. You can use a software like Poedit or a popular 3rd party multilingual plugin to translate.

Any plugin or software you pick, you need to learn and implement them properly. For further details you can visit the following link

    Hi Munayam,

Thank you for your prompt response.
Actually I do not have a problem with translating. I am using Loco and I am translating your plugin to Italian. Let’s say so far so good!
The issue arises when I need to change between languages via Polylang. So:

1-when I see the dashboard of TUTOR LMS in Italian it works perfectly.
2-I can change the language to English via Polylang, I see the dashboard in English (It does not show the user profile pics and the icons for the dashboard menu are not as should be, BUT this is not the problem ?? ).
3-In English version of the dashboard, when I choose any of the menu links (e.g My profile), I receive the 404 error and this is the main PROBLEM.

I assume your plugin needs sort of integration to Polylang?
Or is there any other way/plugin to solve this issue.
The bottom line is, I just need to change trough languages and have the dashboard working with that language.

    Thank you again.

    Hello again @erfanit,

Don’t you think using two multilingual plugins simultaneously may create conflicts on their own?

Instead I’ve found using a software like Poedit is much easier for translating a theme or a plugin. If you watch a few Poedit Youtube tutorials then in the long run you will be thanking me. Good luck.

    Hi Munayam,

Actually they work perfectly together (according to my experience on my other websites) as they do different tasks to create a multilingual website.
The issue is Tutor LMS may need an integration plugin/addon for Polylang, similar to other plugins, for example, Woocommerce and polylang!

Using poedit does not solve my issue as I do not have a problem with translating your plugin via Loco.

I assume one solution for me is to use subfolders and have two WordPress installed for each language on my domain. It is frustrating but I really want to use your plugin for this project! Or you may suggest other solutions? ??
