Multilanguage issue

Hi,

I have a very basic multilanguage understanding issue with woocommerce.

Is it correct, that I need to clone a product to start the translated version?

I have started translating it by cloning, like with the pages on wp.

But when I do so, I have physically two products in the database. I need to translate my product templates as well and I only get rid of keeping two records or templates by a more dynamic product template design and a way to omit as many products as languages to be translated.

So conceptually, cloning is a mess.

Is there any understanding issue from my side, or is this by intention?
