• Hi Ben,
This is a great plugin, thank you!

I’ve run into a problem on a multilingual store.
I’ve tried it on setups with both WPML and Polylang.
Maybe I’m missing something but I was not able to translate the texts customized in the customizer.

    Is it at all possible?
If yes can you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Rasti

  • Hey,
For the headers, subjects those are Woocommerce core strings saved in their section of the database and so in polylang or WPML you would use one of the Woocommerce multilingual plugins to add support to translate those strings.

For this plugin’s strings (all the body text and subtitles) you should see all of them in the string translations. WPML requires that you install there string translations plugin but it’s already there in polylang.

Let me know if that helps!

    Hey!
Thanks for a lightning fast answer.
Yes, I am aware of subject and header strings in both WPML and Polylang.

I’ve got problem with the strings that are visible only in custommizer.
Please, review my workflow in following steps (screenshots):
    1. Set a custom subtitle and body texts in customizer (https://jmp.sh/GJBezIa)
    2. Search for previously set strings in WPML String Translation; I’m able to find subject and heading but not subtitle or body strings ( https://jmp.sh/lMi456T )

Extra info: Yay! I’ve been able to make it work in Polylang but not in WPML String Translation. In WPML I even rescaned the plugin (both woocommerce and your plugin) as they recommend in their documentation but still no luck finding those strings.

    Best regards,
    Rasti

    Hey,
I just retested with WPML version: 4.1.3 and WPML string translation: 2.9.1

The content shows in the string translation under the “Domain”: admin_texts_kt_woomail.

    Which version are you using?

    Hey,

    My versions are pretty same:
    WooCommerce: 3.5.3
    WPML Multilingual CMS: 4.1.3
    WPML String Translation: 2.9.1
    WooCommerce Multilingual: 4.3.7

The domain admin_texts_kt_woomail is unfortunately not in the dropdown (after saving new texts in the customizer AND after rescanning the plugin): https://jmp.sh/N2VxOO0

Hmm, it’s worth asking because I can’t recreate using that same setup, are you using the latest version of this plugin? 1.1.3?

Have you checked that the server cache is cleared?

    (@rastiwebkinder)

Yes, the version of your plugin is 1.1.3.
It’s weird, I can’t make it do what it should even on Polylang.
    1. I’ve translated processing order and on hold order strings https://jmp.sh/veoYLio
    2. Only on hold order mail arrives translated. Processing order ignores the translation: https://jmp.sh/QduJyKo

I first thought that it might be a problem that the strings are the same (which would be unfortunate), but even after changing the strings and their translation (and deleting the old strings from database via Polylang String translation) the emails would arrive in same manner (on hold correct, processing not correct).

I notice in your processing order email that Wooocommerce strings are also not in English.

Product, Quality, Total for example. Which makes me believe that Woocommerce is sending correctly based on the language it thinks should be set to. If it were just an issue with this plugins strings then those items would be translated.

I haven’t done much testing with a live site on how Polylang determines which language the transactional emails should be in but I would guess that is where the issue is. Does that make sense to you?

You’re right, i see it now.
Thank you for pointing it out.
Yes it makes sense to me. I will try to find out what conflicts with it.
