• Hello everybody, I’m a wp newbe, thanks for the help and patience, firs ??

I tryed the wp ambient creating the structure with Sela.
I couldn’t manage to make the 3 posts (image+text+link) appear in the homepage. The rest was ok.

Then I decided to buy my own hosting and reinstalled and rebuilded everything.
WP in my hosting seems a little different: I don’t have the testimonial part and some default widgets are missing too.
So I intalled an extra Testimonial plugin, but now the Sela homepage doesn’t load them automatically nor formatted as in the image.
    What can I do?

I then installed a multilanguage plugin called Ceceppa.
It changed the order of the directory in my fpt, so there’s no more a Sela directory. I tryed to swap theme and still everything seems to work.. Any advice? I’d like to make wise choices so in the future I won’t find my backoffice work become complicated to change or obsolete.

    thanks in advance
    domitilla

Hi Domitilla – Welcome to WordPress!

I don’t have the testimonial part and some default widgets are missing too.

To use testimonials, activate the Jetpack plugin’s Custom Content Types module.

I don’t know which widgets you’re looking for, but many WordPress.com widgets are available on self-hosted sites through Jetpack’s Extra Sidebar Widgets module.

I then installed a multilanguage plugin called Ceceppa.

I’m not familiar with this plugin – in fact, I’ve never heard of it. If you need help with it, I’d suggest asking in the plugin’s support forum.

It changed the order of the directory in my fpt, so there’s no more a Sela directory.

Any plugin that messes with the default directory structure would send up a big red flag for me. ??

    Good luck!
