• I am seeing this error:

Multibyte string functions are not available. Relevanssi may not work well without them. Please install (or ask your host to install) the mbstring extension.

I’m assuming this is what is causing a blank screen when searching for terms like /?s=word1+word2+word3&x=0&y=0

I’ve tried yum install php-mbstring and get the following results:

    root@command [~]# yum install php-mbstring
    Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
    epel/metalink | 13 kB 00:00

    updates | 3.4 kB 00:00
    Setting up Install Process
    No package php-mbstring available.
    Error: Nothing to do

Do you have any recommendations and/or steps on how to enable to resolve this error?

    Thanks

I don’t know anything about installing PHP modules; not part of my expertise.

Relevanssi should work just fine without mbstring functions, in most cases, especially if your data does not contain multibyte strings, and certainly it should not cause blank pages in results.
