Multi-user Portfolio plugin. Looking for ideas.

Im just starting work on a wp site for an art show. Im not acctually building the site for the show, but rather need to build a online tool where multiple artisits can create a profile with a bio, log in, upload multiple images of their art work with descriptions, and return later to remove/change photos/descriptions if they want.

There does not need to be any social networking aspects between users, as it is simple a tool for collecting information and images from a large number of artist.

Any ideas of good plugins or tools I could use to make this?
