• i was wondering if there was a multi-user contact form somewhere, that would allow me to specify to which user the email would go from the contact form? i have searched both here and google without much luck, however i did find PSX Mail Form, and by the sound of that thread i should mention that this plug-in is based on the mail form from this site: https://ryanduff.net/wp-plugins/wp-contactform/

anyway, is there something that is multi-user out there?

  • It has been talked about as a feature addition for WP-Contact form. What exactly are you looking for. We were thinking about letting the user specify a set of addresses then a drop down on the form to let the user choose.

for my purposes, a drop down form would be quite convenient, though also the ability to choose specific destinations for separate pages. for example:

    1. general contact form (with drop down menu)
    2. page 1 (contact person #1)
    3. page 2 (contact person #2)
    etc.

    what do you think?

ohh, custom forms on a contact basis, I doubt that would ever be built in. I’m hoping for custom forms by the user so you can create your own questions but dont’ think it would progress that far.

Here’s what I’d like for this.

As a point of privacy, I don’t want anyone’s email to show anywhere on the site. I’m using wordpress for a high school reunion website (https://dmcireunion.com), and wish to encourage as much membership as possible by protecting the confidentiality of users email. But I would like to let visitors send them an email through a contact form.

I already have an authors.php that shows a page for a user when you click on their nickname at the bottom of their post. The authors.php page shows their profile info and a list of their posts. I’d like to add a contact form on that page as well. I know I could cobble something up in php as a stand alone thing, but I am really unfamiliar with wordpress (and arrays give me a headache! ?? How big a deal would it be to take a user id parameter and send the email to that user in your wp-contact form plugin?

I was also thinking that maybe only registered users could be allowed to use the email form as a spam control.

Yes, I am looking for a form that has drop down that contains multiple recipients that a user can select to send their email to.

I was also looking for one that has a subject that is user define rather than an admin panel defined one.

Ryan, your contact form rocks =) Just needs the above two features and it’d be perfect ??
