• Dear support,

I have seen this topic several times, but never really solved.
I have the following extensions :
    – Contact Form 7
    – Multi Step
    – COnditional logic (free version)

I know that Conditional Logic is the issue, as when I deactivate it, the form does go to the next step.

I understand a solution is to take the Pro version of Conditional Logic, but I find it a pity to take it just to make it compatible with Multi-steps.

Could you help me ? (some scripts to remove / modify ?)

    Thank you ver much

    Regards

    Hi,

Could you post the link to the first step of the form? It looks like you posted the link to step 3.

Also, if you purchase the Pro version of Conditional Fields, they have their own multi step functionality. It won’t help in terms of compatibility with this plugin.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your answer.
I posted step 3 because that’s where the first conditional logic appears.

Here is the page with the first step form : https://ogur.fr/formulaire-1vous

    Thank you for your help

    Hi,

It looks like there’s an internal server error (status code 500) when submitting step 3. Are you able to look at your error logs to see what the error might be?

Also if you make step 3 into a single contact form (without multistep) does it submit correctly?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your support.

I am not an expert in debugging, but looking up on the internet, I found that I have a “logs” folder in which, I was able to generate this line.

    2a01:e34:ec00:: – – [08/May/2020:09:10:12 +0200] “POST /wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/95/feedback HTTP/1.1” 500 669 ogur.fr “https://ogur.fr/formulaire-3vision” “Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/81.0.4044.129 Safari/537.36” “-”

    Is the 500 an error 500 ?

Otherwise, when I remove the multistep shortcode and make it a single form, it does submit correctly (you can check out this page i created for the single form : https://ogur.fr/de-la-vision-a-laction-2)

    Still lost! ??

    OK me again,

I made a simple test : created a light multi-step form with conditional logics, and it worked fine. Which makes me suspect that the issue is not a generic incompatibility between conditional logic and multistep, but maybe a memory issue ?

Indeed, as we only use “equals” and “unequals” (in the free version), I had to create 245 conditions. Maybe it is just too much ?

    Thank you !

Ok I gave up and downloaded conditional fields pro.
It was so random, sometimes it worked, and then for no reason, it didn’t. And then again… but mostly not ??

ah sorry it didn’t work out. Hope their pro version works for you.

For the error logs, I meant the PHP error logs. I think what you posted was a line from your access logs. Anyway, just in case you run into another 500 error – PHP error logs is where you’d look.
