• Everything was fine with my SSL-enabled multi-site in WP 3.2.1, then I upgraded tonight to 3.3 and all is lost.

    My sites, for instance, are gone.

    I have no more “Network Admin” panel, just something lame called “My Sites” which only lists my main site, and one multi-site that survived.

    But I can’t create new multi-sites, I need help from the forum on this one!

    Thanks so much!

  • have you checked the wp-config file to make sure that it has not lost the define line for multisite?

    Lines 81 through 89 of the wp-config file:

    ———————————————————-

    define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);
    define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true);
    define( ‘MULTISITE’, true );
    define( ‘SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL’, false );
    $base = ‘/’;
    define( ‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘southmarkchurch.org’ );
    define( ‘PATH_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘/’ );
    define( ‘SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );
    define( ‘BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );

    ———————————————————
    with line 90: /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    Right beneath it…

    Thanks for your help!

    What I don’t get is where do you create a new multi-site, what’s up with this “My Sites”?

    It only serves as a directory of the sites you’ve created, where’s the Network Admin panel that has been in every prior release since WP introduced MU?

    I’m too scared to update my WordPress multisite 3.2.1 to 3.3 because of this thread. Any news on this problem? Are others experiencing the same?
