Hi, I’m considering purchasing the Pro version of the plugin but have two questions about compatibility.

Is your plugin multisite compatible? Specifically, if I’m using ACF Local JSON to create a standardized set of fields and field groups, would fields created with your plugin be able to be saved in the local JSON file? Are there any other possible issues you know of when using your plugin on multisite?

Also, I see that there is overlap in functionality between your plugin and CPT UI. We are using CPT UI Pro for its ability to sync CPT and taxonomy definitions across a multisite network. Do you know if there are any compatibility issues with sites using CPT UI?

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, ACF Extended is compatible with WP multisite installations. Note that this plugin is an addon on top of ACF Pro, so of course any Field Groups created using ACF will be working just like before, including with the native ACF local Json feature.

This plugin is also compatible with the CPT UI plugin. The Post Type/Taxonomy UI modules provided by ACF Extended is just an UI that let to register a Post Type/Taxonomy without using PHP code. If you don’t want to use it, it’s fine. You can even disable the module and “Tools > Post Types” menu using the code provided in the documentation.

Regarding your general questions about multisite, note that ACF Extended doesn’t have any particular feature or setting dedicated to WP MU for the moment. In fact, you can use the free version of the plugin first if you would like to test it, it will have the same impact on multisite installation as the pro version. Once you confirmed everything works as expected, you can choose to upgrade or not.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
