• I am trying to find a scheduling/booking plug-in to build a site to allow customers to book carpenters and other tradesmen.

They need their customers to select from about 15 services in a ‘shopping cart’ style selection.

Some of the services will be a few hours long. Some will be 1, 2 or even 5 days long.
The services need to be cumulative as well (so picking a 1 hour service + a 3 hour service plud a 2 day service will require a booking of 2.5 days)

The longest total appointment needed will not be expected to exceed 2 weeks.

    EXAMPLE:
    Imagine a job booking for a carpenter…

Assume one day has 8 hours (configurable).

Assume there are are 5 services:

    A. Hang an internal door (2 hours) – £30 – enter number of doors
    B. Build an understairs cupboard (1 day) – £300
    C. Lay wooden floor (1 hour per square metre) – £30 per square metre – enter number of square metres
    D. Remove architrave (3 minutes per linear metre) – £4 per metre – enter number of metres
    E. Site inspection (1 hour) – £75

The customer chooses to put the following services (and quantity of each) into his ‘basket’:

    2x ‘A’ = 4 hours / total £60
    1x ‘B’ = 8 hours / total £300
    20x ‘C’ = 20 hours / total £600
    1x ‘E’ = 1 hour / total £75

So then at checkout they would see these items, and the total of 33 hours & £1,035

Then they need to choose the start date / time for the work, which (with an 8 hour day) would be 4 days and 1 hour.

Once booked, this should update/sync with the iCal on the carpenters iPhone.

    In summary:
    – Must be able to select multiple services
    – Must be able to choose how many of eacch service
    – Total may be multi-day
    – Must be able to then select the start timeslot in the calendar at, or just before, checkout.
    – Must update iPhone calendar (NOT Google calendar)

    Can your plug-in do this?

    Hello,

I don’t think mmy plugin is flexible enough for what you need, and there is no hour management in it. The best thing is that you try it yourself on the demo.

I hope you find a solution, maybe try WooCommerce Bookings, which is probably more complete ??

    Regards,
    Natasha
