• Been running a WP Multi site with BP installed for quite a while. I need to run an extra network with a different domain so i installed WP Multi Network Plugin – seems to work so far, allows me to “add” 2nd network and “move” blogs from one to the other.

    the 2nd domain I have done all the necessary DNS stuff so currently it “arrives” at my hosted server IP correctly, but just keeps on defaulting to the main site/blog.

    I tried using domain mapping plugin, no luck…. only thing i can think of , is that in set up they say remove the following 4 lines from wp config

    *****************************************
    define( ‘DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘mydomain.com’ );
    define( ‘PATH_CURRENT_SITE’, ‘/’ );
    define( ‘SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );
    define( ‘BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE’, 1 );
    *****************************************

    PROBLEM is – the moment i do, none of my blogs or sites load – just error saying no WP sites installed or configured at this address

    Did you map the second domain before or after you made it its own network?

    after…. i posted a video of the problem here – as u can see from there i can get into admin ok, and even view posts from 2nd network…. BUT as soon as i try to load the root of that domain – it reverts to my main blog on original network

    made a video of problem experienced – smeak.com being main (old multisite with root blog) and musicmatrix.co.za being the network i want to set up (sharing users themes etc)…. as u can see I can access admin of new network no problemo – and even blog posts from the admin… but it wont load if i try to go to root of that domain/site…. just keeps loading root blog of original network

    I’m not watching a video, man. Not enough time in my day to watch all that.

    And you said After.

    Okay. So BEFORE you mapped the domain, you had subdomain.example.com right? Did that work okay? And did the subsites? i.e. subdomain.example.com/site2 and so on

    The reason I want to know all this is because I need to see WHEN it broke in the process of networking ??
