    @rubenvankempen I am very sorry but I did not fully understand your question.
    To use the patch, you have to install the original plugin. Than after the installation you have to overwrite some existing files with the files in the zip (plus copy some missing). To do so, you need an FTP-access to you website.
    I hope that the creator of the plugin is willing to integrate the changes into the distributed version.
    A good extension would be to save the tile-server information in the settings table of the wordpress installation, to allow the users to change the settings on the fly and without modifying files. This would be nice, because some tile servers (e.g. OpenCycleMap) force the usage of an API-Key.
