• Hi guys, I’m new to this forum and fairly new to the WordPress.
Wonder if anyone could help me…….friend of mine asked me to help him out with his website, basically his up and coming accountant (how exciting) and works with both English and French clients so need a multi-language website.
My first thought was a multi-lingual plug in, problem is his got a lot of “accountant language” text on his website and translator don’t not cope with it very well.
What would be the best solution for that, do second WP install in subdirectory for another language? As i said don’t have much experience with WP, any help appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Try looking at WPML at https://wpml.org it’s all built in and they have built in translation service (human translators) starting at $0.09 a word, plus they have a Peer Review service to check on the quality of the translators work.

Alternatively, ask for a quote at wpdude.com (not me and i’m not affiliated to it, he’s just done a webinar on this which was excellent) he can help.

Translation is not a problem guy is fluent in both languages, I’m more interested in technical set up how to enable switching from one language content to another.

That’s what WPML does for you, you don’t have to use the translation service, WPML is the ‘nuts and bolts of the pages, dropdown countries etc which enables a reader to switch from english to french, or any other language you check in the dashboard.
