I am using the Customizer theme and need to go multi-language. As qTranslate is not compatible with WP4.0 I am using qTranslate Plus. This is a modified version of the original. Everything seems to be okay apart from I cannot work out how to do multi-language text for the sliders.
I am missing something obvious? or is it a Customizer issue? or an issue with the qTranslate Plus plug-in?
Aside from basic WP sites, this level of working with WP is new to me, so it is quite possible I am missing something that is staring me in the face.
    Thanks
    Simon

  • Hi Simon,

I don’t use qTranslate Plus but mqTranslate, which is another qTranslate fork and it works ok with slider translations in Customizr. I believe that qTranslate Plus should also work the same way, by just applying the usual [:lang1] [:lang2] qTranslate tags. Did you try this?

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the feedback Jaume

I am not sure if I have the syntax right. For the slider title I put:
    <!–:en–>Jade Handex<!–:–><!–:de–>deJade Handex<!–:–>
but when I press update it changes to:
    Jade HandexdeJade Handex

As I said I am new to this part of WP.

    Try this:

    [:en]Jade Handex[:de]deJade Handex

    I have the same problem..
    how do you change
    <!–:en–>Jade Handex<!–:–><!–:de–>deJade Handex<!–:–>
    in
    [:en]Jade Handex[:de]deJade Handex

it’s contextual .. it is in automatic save ..
    how do I replace it?

The slider caption text is supposed to be in a “normal” text field, so you can write anything in it, can’t you?
