    Anyone has A suggestion as to how this can be done under the free blocksy theme?

    You can create a multi language site easily using Polylang. The free version of Polylang has enough features to properly create different language variants of the pages/post that you already have on your website.

    You can use Polylang in combination with Loco Translate, which helps you translate the various strings on your website. Things such as search boxes, my account page, etc.
