Multi language site albums not showing

    Hi,

    On a website with WPML for different languages my client uses NextGen for galleries.
    https://la-petite-aubue.com/fotoalbum/nggallery/fotoalbum/Gite-La-Petite-Aubue
    Dutch is the standard language so the gallery path is correct. If you try to view the gallery on another language page you get a 404. https://la-petite-aubue.com/en/gallery/nggallery/fotoalbum/Gite-La-Petite-Aubue.
    My guess is that the en/ which is added in the URL is the issue.

    Can i solve this with the string translation option in WPML?

    On second thought I see in the fotoalbum URL on the different language pages it is working. So the gallery links get wrong on the translated pages.
    In Gallery settings per gallery there is a base urls defined. Maybe it’s this.
    Still stuck with the issue

    @punchcreative – Are you seeing this issue with the new generated shortcode inserted display; or, is this from older displays still using the <img> tag placeholder?

    If this is with the <img> tag style, please re-open one of those specific inserted displays then re-save it; and, update the page/post. A lot of issues related to paths (such as those created with WPML inserting a segment into the URL) are being mitigated with the new generated shortcode approach.

    I don’t really understand what you mean.

    If you look on this page https://la-petite-aubue.com/en/gallery/
    You see three albums which are displayed correctly in each language
    But if you click on a gallery you want to see there is the problem (404) with the url

    Only the dutch (default language) is working well https://la-petite-aubue.com/fotoalbum/nggallery/fotoalbum/Gite-La-Petite-Aubue

    The code inserted for displaying the albums is added to each language page with the code generator foor Gallery.

    @punchcreative – The extra language segment that is added into the URL by WPML is most likely where the problem is stemming from, especially since in the default language you are not seeing any issues.

    We do not currently have a work-around for this WPML option/workflow although we do recommend insuring the inserted displays are using the latest generated shortcode for the inserted gallery versus the old <img> tag placeholder method we were using.

    Hey guys,

    with Polylang plugin NextGEN is also broken. Pagination is not working (AJAX or simple) even on the default language it shows 404.

    Any fixes on multilang sites? It’s definetly URL issue, as polylang adds ?lang=cs with plugin disabled the gallery works just fine.
