WordPress supports multiple languages via plugins like WPML.

but how can you get the Admin panel in English and the website in German ?
like Joomla in a very simple way

I would think https://wpml.org/ would do it, personally, but … I don’t know anyone who does that.

    thank you

    qTranslate https://www.qianqin.de/qtranslate/
got support for that. You can easily switch between languages both front- and back-end.

I have installed it but I cannot run both lang at the same time ? I can only change admin lang for my needs ?

    thank you

I think Worpress is missing a main feature with this lack of language settings

WP being singlelingual is a major drawback on a system that I absolutely love in most other respects.

Having a translation plugin does not mean you can have a truly multilingual site. Sure it handles posts, pages and themes but as long as there is no language selector in the core the system is seriously crippled. My main grief is with the wp-login.php only observing the one globally set language.

Now that the premier choice – WPML – got greedy and went commercial it would be high time for the WP community to really address this issue.

I want too an official multi-language support from wordpress! Plugins aren’t good.
