Multi File Uploader Not Working

  • I’m new to word press and just starting to figure it out. After my latest upgrade the new multi file uploader is not working consistently. It has worked properly 1 out of 10 tries. I’ve tried with 1 file and multiple files. They show up as if up loading with a percentage of 20 -30% but it just sits there and the files don’t up load. As I say,, once it did everything perfectly but only once. I’m on a Mac. Is anyone else having this issue and does anyone have a suggestion.

  • Try
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder if you have one. The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old.

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. If you can’t log in to change themes, you can remove the theme folders via FTP so the only one is twentyeleven. That will force your site to use it.

    Thanks for the advice. I deactivated all my plug ins and it didn’t help. I’m unable to use the multi file up loader or the browser uploader. Is there another way to get jpeg’s on to my blog.
