Multi-day event span as one long entry on calendar view

I was wondering if it’s possible to have a multi-day event span across multiple days as one long bar on the monthly calendar view. Currently, if I have a multi-day event, there is a single entry for each day.
Basically similar to the image linked below where “Long event” is a multi-day entry that looks like a long bar.
