If I’m using WooPayments alongside the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin, how are mutli-currency transactions handled when the customer chooses PayPal? Will they pay the value displayed by the WooPayments plugin?

I have a business account with the apm enabled.

  • Hi @davehealey

When using Woo Payments, and WooCommerce PayPal Payments together:

    • If the customer pays with PayPal, the exchange rate at the time of the transaction applies, and they’ll see the amount in their PayPal account, which might differ slightly from WooPayments due to exchange rate fluctuations.
    • If they choose WooPayments, they pay the amount displayed by WooPayments, converted to their card’s currency at their bank’s rate.

Please note that your enabled alternate payment methods (APMs) can affect the process, leading to potential variations in the final amount paid by the customer.
