• I own a blog network of about 30 blogs and it is actually growing. I have running in the sidebar on each blog an ongoing list of links to the other blogs in the Network. I was looking for a possible plugin or a script of some sort where I can update one script and it updates all of them so I don’t have to edit 30 sidebars each time. If I ever reach 100 blogs then I would have to edit 100 sidebars.

Any ideas on how I can make this easier for me?

    Thanks

  • Why not use blogrolling

If it was me, I would create an RSS file somewhere with all your links, then use RSS widgets or other RSS code to retrieve that list and display it in the sidebar from all the other blogs. That way, you just edit this one file and all the others will eventually pick up the changes.

The only reason to use the “Blogroll” functions in WordPress is for ease of use and such. If you have the same links on 30 sites, then using that stuff to manage it doesn’t make much sense anymore.

Otto, that sounds good. Only problem I haven’t ever worked with RSS so I wouldn’t know how to do a simple procedure like that haha

All I know how to use is feedburner RSS and subscribing to feeds and that pretty much covers it.

How and where would I make a file and then how would I pull that in??

    ??
