Mulitple CSS Layers In Fluid Design…

I’m trying to design a fluid site (that will stretch according to the computer screen) – but I’m having extreme difficulty in getting my multiple (5) div layers in my header to position in a fluid design.
If I give it relative positioning abviously with that may layers it goes all over the place. But if I give it absolute postioning abviously it does not stretch with the computer screen.
Can anyone please help?!?
