• I had a lot more information by using the free analytics plugins Jetpack (which gave me the number of visitors in real time, not just active visitors, but all visits for the day and other days) and Site Kit, which supplemented this information.

Unfortunately, Jetpack slowed down my site (often reported in Google page speed) and Site Kit stopped working.

So, after many unsuccessful attempts to get Site Kit to work, I had to remove these two plugins and turn to monsterinsight, which is much less powerful and very expensive.

I bought the first paid version (100 USD) before discovering that I had to spend another 100 USD to get additional information, such as my clicks on affiliate links.

Information I used to get for free with Site Kit.

Monsterinsight is first and foremost a commercial plugin, it does less than the other two free plugins, but it’s well sold and presented,

And once installed, it tries to get you to buy the many other plugins sold by this company.

So I regret my purchase and can’t wait for SiteKit to fix its many bugs, so I can reinstall it and enjoy its many features.

    Hi @pierreto,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and your experience. I sorry that we fell short of expectations.

In case it helps to know, with MonsterInsights Lite, you’re able to track and view critical site statistics (such as page views in the last 30 days, top posts and pages, etc) and automatically track the following custom events:

    • Download link tracking
    • Affiliate link tracking
    • Outbound link tracking
    • Telephone link tracking
    • Email link tracking
    • Custom link click events

To learn a bit more about our free version features, please click here.

We also include a monthly email summary report, alongside other useful tools like a headline analyzer, a UTM URL builder, a widget for displaying the most popular posts, to help increase site engagement. When making any changes to your site, you can also add a site note to help keep track of the impact it has on your analytics.

It’s not our intent to cause clutter. We try to provide as much value as possible by suggesting plugins that we integrate with directly for more reporting features, because a lot of users aren’t aware of them and can benefit greatly.

If you would prefer to not use our suggested plugins, you’ll be able to either deselect them for installation in the Setup Wizard under the?Add Recommended Plugins To My Website?option, skip that step entirely by clicking on?Skip for Now, or if you decide after completing the setup wizard to not use them, you’ll be able to remove them like other WordPress plugins.

We really appreciate you for giving us a try. If you have any suggestions or further thoughts, please let me know and I’d be happy to share your feedback with the team.

And if there’s anything we can do to help you make the most of your MonsterInsights purchase, please feel welcome to reach out to us directly at https://monsterinsights.com/my-account/support/

    Thank you!
