Can you post a link? My demo quizzes certainly don’t have this “impaired functionality”

Here’s a sample quiz you are sure to get some questions wrong on and you will see that it does not mark them correct.

Here’s a link – Sample Quiz. Of course, you have no way of knowing what I designated as the correct answer, but what I’m seeing in my window when I check the results after the quiz is that the plugin is highlighting the answer I give, whatever it may be. The green checkmark appears in the box for the correct answer.

But, on the ones I answer wrong, the answer I give is highlighted, the green checkmark is in the right box, but the box/icon beside the question number will still have “Correct”.

I’m using Chrome, haven’t checked it any other browsers (I’ll do that now) Also, the WP version I have is 3.2.1 and the plugin version is 2.5.7. Thanks for looking at it.

This is happening because you have the value of the question set to 0. So no matter what someone selects they are getting full points for it (all of 0), and hence it’s being marked as correct (determined by points received from possible). To solve this, increase the number of points each question is worth. This can be done on the edit question for each question.

Mystery solved. Not a bug. Not impaired functionality. Just a worthless question!

Thank you for researching this and providing the feedback. But, please explain how it is a “worthless question” when I need to know this in order to set it up correctly? I preferred to not utilize the points and therefore set the value to zero without the knowledge that it would impair the plugin.

You have a good plugin here but you seem to be a highly arrogant individual. I discern this from your statement earlier of “Here’s a sample quiz you are sure to get some questions wrong on…” as well from your most recent response to this thread. (By, the way, I am an excellent mathematician. Interesting how you seem to assume that I’m a dumbass)

You apparently have the coding skills down quite well. Perhaps you should work on your social skills!

It is worth 0 and hence has no worth. The suffix “less” means “without.” Therefore your question is worthless, and the value was set by YOU and not me.

As for social skills: It might be more socially acceptable if when you post a request for help from someone who has provided you with a free piece of software that you don’t declare it has “impaired functionality” before asking politely for an explanation. Indeed it is properly functioning as it was designed to, but perhaps not how you want it to function.

Moreover, why don’t you stick to being grateful for my help with your website for which I have no stake and spare me the social critiques. Perhaps you should work on your manners!

Actually I did ask politely for an explanation and some help. See Here I received no response.

By the way, thanks for the language lesson. I don’t want to seem ungrateful. Just minding my manners, you know.

I have no ability to delete a thread. Usually helping others with their site is exciting as we work together to accomplish some goal. Not so with you. I’d appreciate it if you stopped using my plugin and moved on. Thanks. Nothing more coming fom me to you.

Do you think I would create a thread and not subscribe to it? So, I got the notification of your response on 5-11 reading, “See future response”. Then I got the notification of the thread being deleted.

No, we can’t delete threads, but we can point them out as being duplicate in nature, which leads to them being deleted. No matter. As I said, the truth is still the truth.

Finally – I’m not using your plugin and have no intention of doing so. I’ll find another solution for my needs. There are plenty of options available.

@penpoint? Plugin developers cannot delete threads unless they’re also moderators. Gmichaelguy is just a regular member who happens to have a plugin and support it on his own free time here.

He didn’t close or delete any posts.

Moderators do close and/or delete duplicate threads.

Duplicate postings will be closed or might be deleted.

And the last part is this:

Finally – I’m not using your plugin and have no intention of doing so.

Thanks for that, I feel better about closing this thread then.
