MT Comment Import Problems

  • Greetings. I have just installed WordPress and I was able to import all of my Moveable Type entries just fine. Unfortunately they all show zero comments!
    I looked under “latest comments” and found that the comments had indeed been imported, but somehow wern’t associated with their respective posts (if you click “view post” it says it can’t find the specified post).
    Anyone have any suggestions? I know there was another post similar to this on down the forum, but he at least had the right number of comments listed after each post. I don’t even have that. I know I’m probably being dumb, but I’m not sure where ??

  • Hi, it could be that the export file was different from the regular one. Maybe it had a string ‘—-‘ in one of the posts/comments.

    Hey, thanks for responding! I installed 1.02 the night before 1.2 was released. Since I hosed my old install and installed 1.2. Now everything works great! I don’t know what the problem was.
