    I was wondering something.. I just moved to a new host with my domain.. did upload my site backup of my previous host..but now i have problems with the msqyl database.. i did backup that one aswell but i cant upload it it seems.. now i wonder how important is dat database concerning old posts and comments etc? can i just make a new one without destroying anything or do i have to upload the old one to make it all work good?
    I also gonna upgrade my wordpress but i first want my old one to work

    i didnt check my blog yet since i’m still working on my site and dunno how important that old database is for wordpress to work since iii dont wanna lose old posts and comments

    If you don’t want to loose your old posts and comments – it is very important. All the content is stored in the database, not in files!

    What did you try to import the old database? Describe it step by step…

    nothing i cant see anything where i can upload it ?? gonna contact my host about it

    You do NOT “upload” the database backup. You have to restore it in the phpMyadmin.

    Especially then ??
    That’s the only way to move an existing blog’s content from one server to another.

    OMG i think i did it wrongly ?? I did backup the database.. in the backup folder instead of that other thing ??
