• I’ve been experimenting with various Cookie consent plugins. Some are good, some are bad. This one seems to do everything I need immediately, with no configuration, almost like magic. It is wonderful.

BUT, when using the default text, when visiting the link from the cookie banner to the page set to show the privacy policy on a site I’m testing the plugin with, Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 displays a “suspicious site” warning, specifically talking about the smart cookie plugin URL ending in (if I recall correctly) empty.php. Note that on the Privacy Policy page, I have actually embedded an object that gets blocked by smart cookie kit, hence the blocked placeholder text gets used there.

However, when I use my own text, the warning does not appear.

I cannot post further details as the site is under development, protected by htaccess and at this time I do not want members of the public to access it.

If you would like to figure out what’s happening, but as I can’t post specific details in public, it is a bit difficult. Is there some way we can work around this?

    Hello @farisr,

there are NOT resources that ends with “empty.php” in Smart Cookie Kit.

If Edge displays a “suspicious site” warning on that page, maybe it depends on the content of that page.
Without additional details I cannot provide any kind of support.

You could write to dev[ at ]smartcookiekit[ dot ]com.

    Nicola.
