"mqTranslate", "qTranslate Separate Comments" and drafts
-
Hi, I’m trying to setup a bilingual blog (Portuguese and English) using qTranslate. I’m using WordPress 3.9.2 and I had some issues with the qTranslate plugin and from I read in forums/comments it seemed mqTranslate was the way to go. Indeed it solved my problems at first. I also installed qTranslate slug and everything was working ok. I only have to problems:
1. When I go to the English version of a post, it still shows the comments in Portuguese.
2. Most of the posts are currently in Portuguese and I don’t plan to translate whole posts at once, so it really would be nice to keep the English version as a draft before I’m done. But there seems to be no option “save draft” because the post is considered published already.
For the 2nd problem I’m not sure there’s any solution, but I guess I can live with it and just make a separate post and copy/paste when I’m done. For the 1st problem, I found the plugin “qTranslate Separate Comments”, but it simply doesn’t work. I installed and activated it, but nothing shows up in the comments page. No settings related to language, nothing.
Does anybody know if mqTranslate is at least supposed to support Separate Comments and I’m doing something wrong? Or am I out of luck and should give up on the qTranslate solution for bilingual blogs altogether?
