• When is there going to be an update for this? I know it was brought up, but this is seriously hurting my site because the two are in conflict with each other. I used qtranslate, but because there is no longer any support for that, mqTranslate was the better option. Do I need to go back to qTranslate for now?

I mqTranslate is causing the ACF plugin to make the fields and wysiwyg editor to be malformed and override each other (content in the ACF Wysiwyg will override the content in the main editor). also, for some reason, the fields are overlaying on top of each other (hard to edit).

  • Hi and thank you for your post. I am having the same problem with several websites using qtranslate. All these sites cannot be updated to WP 3.9 because qtranslate’s current version 2.5.39 supports only up to WP version 3.8.1.

qtranslate’s updates seem to take longer and longer and longer. Mqtranslate is much faster updated and better supported so it seems to be a good alternative to using qtranslate. BUTit is not compatible with Advanced Custom Fields.

Since i do not use the additional functions of mqtranslate the best solution would be a fork of qtranslate which is updated contemporarily to WordPress Core versions.
I am sure that everyone who uses qtranslate would be willing to give a fee for that. Qtranslate has been downloaded 1.188.844 times, so if there are at least 500.000 who would donate 5.-$ once, someone could earn 2,500,000.00 $.

maybe it’s the right way, but I’m not been able to solve the problem with ACF Wysiwyg field. Otherwise the 2 plugins seem to work well together.

However, I’m considering switching to WPML which, however, is not free from problems with advanced custom field, as reported in various support resources.

Yeah I still got the same problem. It’s already been 3 or 4 weeks. I’m thinking about downgrading my wordpress installation.
