MP4 Video not supported

    Still very much a newbie so would appreciate simple answers.

    I’ve setup a wordpress sight that it, for the moment just to practice on.i seem to have got a few things right but am having issues putting a short video on my photo page.

    I have easy video installed as a plugin.

    I’ve uploaded a mp4 video to my media library and when I play it in the library all is well. But it says unsupported (I thought mp4 was supported?). When I link it to my photos page there is just a video emblem with a line through it.
    My steps to put the video in was to copy the link and go into the block on the photo page and clicked link file, if I just paste the url from the media library I just get the icon mentioned above.

    The instructions for easy video say to use the following [evp_embed_video url = ” “] – The space between the two “s is the link to my video in the library.
    If I use this code I just get enter url and nothing happens – Naturally I’m presuming I’ve done something wrong.
    Any suggestions, please, what I’m doing wrong?

    @tomg35, Did you copy and paste the shortcode into a shortcode block?

    @naa986 – Yes I uploaded the video to my media library and then copied the link and used the shortcode. In the end I contacted BlueHost support who though the URL might be wrong (but I don’t see how it can be as I copied it from my library).

    @naa986 Unfortunately the one that didn’t work was overwritten by BlueHost support and as this worked I don’t think it will help you
