MP4 downloads only partial downloaded

    Hello, I sell mp4 video downloads on a Woocommerce site. I have the issue that when a customers purchases a video download and after payment is completed and gets the link to download the video file, only part of the video file is downloaded. So he cannot watch the video until the end. Video files are stored in a cloud storage and not on my server. Video files size is between 1-2 GB. I tried different download methods like forced and X-Accel-Redirect but issue remains the same. I have not tried the redirect only method though, as it is insecure and supposed to be deprecated. If I send the direct download link via email or attach it to his account downloads it works. I guess the issue has to do with Woocommerce. Does anyone has an idea how to fix it? Thanks Nick

    Hi @nickmazzaro,

    Just to clarify, the “Redirect Only” method is labeled insecure because files are not protected thus can be accessed by anyone who has a link to the file, not just those who’ve purchased the product. For some cloud storage providers, like Google Drive, this is often the setting to use.

    Coming back to the issue here, since you’re dealing with large files, could you try again using the X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile method? Confirm with your web host that one of these modules is installed before using this method.
