mp3-jplayer runs slow only in Firefox 6.0.2

Using the WP plugin Mp3-jPlayer version 1.7.1 with WordPress 3.2.1, and used a [mp3-jplayer] shortcode with 12 MP3 audio clips. It works great on Chrome, Safari, and MSIE.
But on Firefox (6.0.2 and 7.0) – it appears to be “waiting for” the server, and seems to be downloading all the MP3s in background. This makes the web pages run really slow. Is there a config switch I can change to not have Firefox be so slow with mp3-jplayer?
