• I created the website, https://www.wingsofsound.com using MP3-jPlayer to play a single MP3 in the widget area. Though it works fine, it has caused the slide show in the page heading not to work. (Note: This is different from the Slideshow Gallery, which works fine also.)

I created the WordPress theme in Artisteer. The top header portion contains four slides which change every 5 seconds or so. Only the first slide shows up while MP3-jPlayer is activated.

I disabled each plugin to see which one was causing the conflict. Once I disabled MP3-jPlayer, the header slideshow started working normally.

I’m hoping I won’t have to replace MP3-jPlayer with something else, as it is the only one I could find that meets the criteria set by my client: 1) audio must not start over browsing to another page, 2) must be compatible with smartphones.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi,
what’s the name of the gallery plugin that the player causes problems for? Let me know and I’ll have a look.

I do not think there is an issue with the “Slideshow Gallery” plugin (Version: 1.2.3.2) for the slideshow accessible through the “Photo Gallery” button.

The problem is more likely with another slideshow at the top – in the page header. The header is created in a different way. I created it with the four slides in Artisteer template generator. There is no plugin for this.

With MP3-jPlayer plugin activated, only the first slide works in the header. If I deactivate MP3-jPlayer, all four slides work perfectly.

    Thanks.

By the way, I create the template in Artisteer and export it as a WordPress theme.

Hi, Simon, may I have your response from my previous post? Thank you!

    I’ve had a look but I can’t see anything obvious that’s wrong.

Do the player and slideshow work ok together if there are no other plugins active?

There is a mass of theme scripts there, and debugging could take hours, this is really outside of my free support abilities, but if you need it debugged please get in touch via my site and we’ll work something out.
