I tried creating a folder for the mp3s on my site, to keep them all together and tidy, but every time I do that, WordPress can’t find them, and so clicking on the link generates a 404 error. If I just leave the mp3s in the public_html folder, everything’s fine. But I put them in an ‘mp3 folder’ inside public_html, it stops working. Is there a setting in WordPress I can tweak to do what I want to do?

One reason I ask is cuz the theme I’m using, Sliding Doors, has its own folder for images, which works well. Hmm…maybe I should be posting this on the Sliding Doors forum.

But if you know the answer, please feel free to enlighten me. ??

Point at the MP3 link that WP is returning 404 on and look in the lower left corner of your browser window at the URL displayed when you point. If you can’t bring up the MP3 file at that URL then it is entered into WP incorrectly. For one thing, don’t use relative file paths in WP – all paths should either start with https:// or at the least with “/” – "/mp3-folder/myfile.mp3" not "mp3-folder/myfile.mp3"

What you talked about is all new stuff to me, but it sounds good. I’ll check it out. Thanks.
