I requested help in the thread of the pinned post about the plugin bugs and in the Support page on your website. No responses. Please provide an update regularly on progress or lack of it.

I have the latest version installed. Also, pls let us know how/if we can revert to a previous non-buggy version. Otherwise, we will have thousands of subscribers receiving no notifications for days, going into weeks. It does real harm to our ability to reach them.

    Hi there @richards1052,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this question. I’ve now responded to the open ticket you have with us, so you should have received an email with additional information and steps to follow. Please check your inbox and you can respond to me there if you have additional questions, or if it is still not working.

As I think it would help others, I’ll also share here the additional information I shared with you in the email about fixing this “stuck” post notification email issue that existed in versions 4.41.x and 4.42.x of MailPoet:

This bug has now been resolved in version 4.43.0 of the plugin?for all post notification emails going forward.?If you have not updated the plugin yet, please do so as soon as possible.
    ?
That said, while the fix will prevent this issue from happening in the future,?if you still have post notification emails “stuck” in sending mode in your queue, the queue will continue to be blocked.
    ?
Please go under?MailPoet > Emails?to view any and all Post Notification emails that have been sent out recently.
    ?
If any of these are showing as “sending” – probably with a sent count that is?almost?all of your mailing list, but not all – then these are “stuck” and are blocking the queue from sending out future Post Notifications.
    ?
The workaround is to move these emails to the trash. Please hover over them and click “move to trash” to delete these emails. Once they are all deleted, future post notification emails should now send out correctly.

There was one post in the queue unsent. I assume that clicking “resume” wouldn’t restart the sending process. So I deleted them as you suggested.

I urge you to add a feature to the plugin which would enable plugin users to manually send notifications for posts which have not been sent. This would make the entire process of deleting posts, republishing, or sending out a separate newsletter with links to all the posts which were not sent–unnecessary.

    Hi there @richards1052,

Thanks for the update! Clearing that one “stuck” email from the queue should allow future Post Notification emails to run smoothly.

As for manually pushing out a Post Notification, we do not offer that feature at this time but it has been requested on our Feature Requests board. You can “upvote” this request to let our development team know that this is an in-demand feature and help them prioritize it.

You can upvote that request here:
    https://feedback.mailpoet.com/feature-requests/p/post-notification-manually

In the meantime, I’ll mark this thread as solved and close it out. Happy mailing!
