moving wp.com to wp.org self-hosted domain

  • i recently bought my own domain but im having trouble with importing my posts.
    i exported the wp.com xml file from kristoner.wordpress.com
    imported it to wp.org self-hosted domain beautynthebeats.com
    the most recent post is october 15 on beautynthebeats.com but the most recent post on kristoner.wordpress.com is october 27.
    the .xml file is small less than 200kb.

    i tried phpmyadmin but that didn’t work. is it an import problem?

    okay so i thought it was resolved but it really isn’t.

    so i tried importing by unchecking the “download and import file attachments” and it uploaded all my posts obviously not the pictures. when i do check the download and import file attachments box, it doesn’t export any of the pictures. is there any way of fixing this problem?
