Moving wordpress to a new server

  • I moved my wordpress installation to a new machine with a different hostname. The operating system change was a move from current Debian stable to Ubuntu server 8.04.1.

    I can see the site on the new server without problems and I can log onto the admin client just fine. However, if I try to write a new post and post it the database doesn’t get updated for some reason and my post simply disappears.

    Anybody have an idea what it is all about or where I should start looking?
