Moving wordpress from one host to another

Hello All,

Sorry if this has been covered. Was not able to find it in search.

I have found what I need to to a backup of wordpress. I am wondering if there are any other tips when not just backing up but actually moving your site from one server to another.

My goal here is not just to keep the data intact, but also all the installed add ons, themes, etc.

Is it as simple as copying down the entire site to my local drive then copying it back up to the new server and restoring the backed up data?
