Moving WordPress from Local To Live Site

  • Hey guys, Im in some serious trouble here and I would really appreciate help. I’m trying to get my website from my localhost to my live site. So I uploaded the server files and exported the database from my PHPADMIN for the localhost and uploaded it too. I opened wp-config and changed the relevant information and uploaded that too and overwrited the file there.

    No when I go to my URL there is nothing there…. Its just a blank page. I dont know a huge amount about wordpress but I am really struggling to get this working and I would really appreciate any help you guys can give me.

    When I go to my URL/wp-admin it doesnt work unless my WAMP server is running so im under the impression that somewhere my files are referencing the localhost but I just dont know what to do. I’ve looked at the Codex’s on this website and I’ve just gotten more confused! I really need a guide for dummies on this so if anyone could walk me through this I would greatly appreciate it…. This must be my 20th time trying to upload it and still nothing works….

    Hey Esmi, I have looked at that codex a million times and still I’m having trouble! I dont know what I’m doing wrong….

    When I used that replacement script i fucked everything up and had to start again and I’m still lost.
