At least in theory, and as I have actually done this, the task is very simple. Go to the new hosting account and copy all folders on over (via upload if the Support Techs do not want to do that for you since you cannot use File Manager to do that) and with the *exact* same path the WordPress installation (database) has always known. In my own case, that would look something like this:

‘/home/account1/public_html/wp-folders/’
‘/home/account1/public_html/wp-files.php’
– to –
‘/home/account2/public_html/.htaccess’
‘/home/account2/public_html/wp-folders/’
‘/home/account2/public_html/wp-files.php’

After that, go to Cpanel and make a database, user and password using *exactly* the same database name, MySQL username and password showing in wp-config.php, then import the tables (“database”) from the original site.

After that, move the domain to the second account and point (assign) it to that installation just as it had been at the previous account and log in.

I had great success with ManageWP recently although the site was in development and not much content. It was easy as pie and took a couple of minutes after a 10 minute download and orientation. Worth checking out.
I had to refresh the permalink page (no changes, just clicked “update”) but other than that it was flawless. Bluehost recommends it.
