Moving WooCommerce from SubDirectory to Main and need to hide products

I am getting ready to move my woocommerce store from a sub-directory to the main directory and I want to keep the products hidden and allow my customers to use the sub-directory site until I’m finished.
Can I load all the products onto the main url and THEN add the “shop” page with the shortcode (as well as checkout, etc.) or not?
Like if I add all the products into their categories then create the shop page once I’m done, because I have a “Shop” page on the main site now but it links to the sub-directory and I don’t want 2 shop pages on the site.
