Moving within server – Links and Images

Just dump the database, search/replace the url, drop the tables and then import your changed sql file back into the db. See any of the following videos about moving WP…they all demonstrate the process of changing the url in the db.

Thank you figaro. You make it sound so easy. I’ll take a look at the videos. Is this something that I will unavoidably have to do? The wording of the statement “If you have problems with missing images” suggests to me that there may be a chance that there will be no missing images.

There is a chance there will not be missing images…just depends on the path to the image you have in the db.
