Moving to new server with updated php and sqldatabase

    I’m moving to the new server with higher version of php and updated sqldatabase,

    right now i’m using php5.1 the newer version is php7 and sqldatabase

    I wonder if the plugin can make it happen without error in the moving?

    if somehow the database corrupt can I still use the plugin to restore? after install the wordpress again in the new server.

    I have not tested this use case, so I can’t comment on that. You can only try and see how. I would advise you to use phpmyadmin and backup as well on top of this plugin.

    What if I just simply upgrade the php version on the same server, will it cause any issue according to your experience?

    Nope. This plugin is tested on PHP7, I am using PHP 7.1 with this plugin on three sites. all works well.
