Moving tickets doesn’t change seating availability

I have successfully used the “move tickets to new event” feature to quickly change performance dates of tickets. I can see the new ticket dates on the tickets themselves and on the report by tickets. However, it does not appear on the report by purchases and it doesn’t change the seat count for either event. This is forcing me to manually change the number of available tickets for events so I don’t oversell, but this is getting complicated.
UPDATE: after some investigating, I discovered that it is adjusting the total number of available seats on the MyCalendar event when I move tickets. Once I reset them all back to the correct total number of tickets available for the event, the seat count was accurately reflected in My Tickets as well.
