The original plan was to modify the client’s current site to be their store. That changed, and the client would like to maintain their current site as is and put their store on a subdomain. What would be involved in moving the staging site to a new subdomain of the primary site? Would this necessitate the pro version (something that was planned anyway…)?

    Thanks!

    Hi @gasparal,

This is not supported by either basic or free version yet, but a feature I am already working on.

You need to create a new sub domain and point it to the folder of your staging site location. Then you need to search and replace all domain name contained strings in the database.

Well, that sounds doable, but I’ll welcome the feature when you have it. I’m thinking that this sounds about the same as restoring from a backup to a new location, but maybe it will be a little better.

    Thanks!
