Moving site into WordPress
-
I wanted to get some opinions regarding a migration of an existing site into WordPress.
I just recently rebuilt a directory site with many many pages. The old site were your basic .html pages. Most of the old pages are unindexed and not very important.
Should I worry about 301 redirects from the old html pages to the new ones? I would say that almost all of the content is unlinked from other “important” places on the web and is none existent on the social networks.
I’m thinking that we might be fine if we just launch the new site without worrying about the old pages. Install a new Google sitemap plug in to help Google reindex pages.
Any thought or advice?
