Moving Right/Left Arrow (and in front of a circle)

The post rotator works great. I am using it in a 1/4 column, and need to move the right/left arrows out farther. How can this be done? Also, if possible, I would like to show the arrows as light color in front of dark circles.

Another alternative is to move the right/left arrows to the bottom of the box, again with shaded box behind.
