Moving my WP to the root
-
Hello,
I have several WP sites. I installed the WP blog in a subfolder on my personal site (tetontrekker.com). My personal site has a few blogs but in general is clean, I use it for testing mostly. I want to move it to the root, if I break it it’s not the end of the world while I fix my errors. My reasons for doing this are- I have a non-profit site which I’m converting to WP and will eventually want to move to the root when I’m done and I want to play with multisite on my personal site.
My Question:
On my personal site I have an alumni website in a sub-folder with the domain pointing to it (azusaalumni.com), I’m running simple machines BB, and Coppermine for that site. Will moving the WP site to the root interfere or cause weird issues with my other programs or visa-verse?I do realize I’ll have to change/fix my path to WP in several places and the process looks like a general PIA.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
~J
