Moving Multisite to a non Multisite Account

  • I have a working Multisite network running under my JustHost Hosting account. I would like to move this to my wife’s JustHost hosting account.

    I have followed the JustHost instructions and I have downloaded everything my Cpanel, HomeFolder, MySQL databases, Website Files.

    I realize there is some redundancy here as my Home folder contains everything in my website files but I thought it might be useful to have them separate.

    My guess is that I would need to convert my wife’s word press site into a networked Multisite and then upload my MYSQL databases and Website files after I have created paths to accommodate my sub-domains.

    Does this sound even close? or did I explain it okay?

    Keep the WordPress files separate by placing them in different folders. Multisite is not something you should be thinking about. It’s a complicated thing that is meant for specific use cases, not like something that you are describing.
